About The Pittsford Elementary Website:

Our website was developed as an educational tool to make it easier for our students to use  the internet as a resource to supplement classroom instruction.  Although we welcome visitors, this website was created with the intention that it be used by the Pittsford students, staff and community as a gateway to the rich educational content of the internet.

The safety of our students is our first priority.  Neither individual photographs nor last names of elementary students will be posted at this site.  This is a non-commercial, non-profit site.  We will not advertise or promote any products.   Internet content is filtered, as is required by law, through the Hillsdale ISD .

This website contains links that were selected by the webmaster, faculty and staff of Pittsford Area Schools.  In most cases we do not link to pages of links.  We prefer to link directly to each individual site.  All sites posted have all been reviewed by the faculty and staff for content. At the time they were reviewed, the content of the elementary pages and referenced material was deemed appropriate for children in grades 3-6. However, Pittsford does not maintain many of the links that are referenced here and, as such, cannot control the content of any of these links. The faculty and staff of Pittsford are providing these links as a service to the Pittsford students and our guests. However, we believe that it is ultimately the responsibility of the parents and teachers to supervise the travels of their children/students on the Web. Pittsford's Elementary Internet Policy is that no student will use the internet unless under direct supervision of a staff member.
