Education Practicum

(Foundations of Education)

I.        Course Title:         Education Practicum        2 Semesters    2 Credits

II.      Course Description:

          This course covers areas, which contribute to the development of early elementary     children intellectually, socially, and emotionally. The curriculum includes the study of      educational leaders including Montesssori, Piaget, Erickson, Maslow, and Kohlberg.    Methods of working with children will be discussed and practiced. Material for working      with children will be demonstrated and created. Observing, and eventually working        directly with, Pittsford Elementary students will be an integral part of the class.
