informational pamphlet is available in the high school office for any
parent interested in the Michigan Education Trust Program, a program to
start planning for your student's college tuition. You can also

PARENTS
of SENIOR STUDENTS who are applying to college are invited to attend a
FAFSA filing meeting in the PHS computer lab on Monday, February 8 at 6:30
p.m. Amanda Janes from Jackson Community College will be here to
guide parents through this financial aid filing process. Parents will
need to bring the following: 2009 Federal tax return, driver's
license, social security number, records of untaxed income, recent bank
statements and investment information, and Department of Education PIN
number (apply for this number at www.PIN.ed.gov prior
to the meeting). Computer space is limited, so parents must reserve a
spot by calling Mary Sanderson, Guidance Counselor, at 523-3481 ext. 251 by
Wednesday, February 3 if planning to attend.

Credit Recovery for high school students has begun and will run weekly
on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Students who
have credit(s) to make up toward graduation and/or have subject areas
credit(s) to make up for the Michigan Merit Curriculum should see Mrs.
Sanderson, Guidance Counselor, to enroll as soon as possible. The
cost is $50 per credit. Call Mrs. Sanderson at 523-3481 ext. 251 with
any questions.
